Eliat Bea is a visual artist born in Melbourne, Australia, currently living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel. Eliat completed a degree in Fine Arts (BFA) at Shenkar College in 2022.
I am stranger here, I long to be in their world.
I am overtaken by plants; rooting, growing, multiplying plants; they vine through my house and creep into my mind. My obsessive observations follow me and take oversized form in paint across canvas. Thinly layered colors run, drip, bleed and stain the canvas as they water the plants, feeding and growing them, layer upon layer.
Their spaces hang on the edge of reality. There, they sway in and out of existence; birthing, morphing, dying and reemerging; ephemeral and eternal.
